Freepeople maxi skirt (here), Zara jumper, Vintage boots, Tiger eye pendant

After busy, fast paced london, i find myself enjoying the peace and calm of scotland. Georgia and i have been playing adventurers this past week and our journeys into the scottish countryside have been refreshing and enjoyable to say the least. On this particular day we headed to Pollok house, which although isn't in the countryside of scotland, is nestled away in a little secret haven right in the middle of a glasgow city suburb......more on this incredibly beautiful piece of history coming soon!

Pollok house is surrounded by a beautiful green park with a little river running through so georgia and i gave ourselves plenty of time to wander and take in this little bit of nature we had so long lived without in london. Despite the rainy weather this freepeople maxi skirt (here) seemed rather fitting for such an adventure. Since i have been young, I have always had a fascination with anything pretty. Not only is this skirt one of the prettiest skirts i have ever laid eyes on, it's also they most fun to wear. If your anything like me, you'll love the thought of twirling, prancing and running about like your a child. I lost count of the number of times mum used to tell me off for wearing the prettiest of clothing only to come home covered in dirt. Truth be told, theres something rather beautiful about a dirty dress or a muddy skirt. Clothes this beautiful need to be worn and lived in, not hung on a hanger waiting until an 'appropriate occasion' to wear them. I hope these photos captured just a little of that fun.

You should add this rose charm necklace for that added touch of soft glamour.
